Foshan Nanhai Taoyuan Welfare Centre Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nanhai Taoyuan Welfare Centre") is a successor to the original Nanhai District Social Welfare Centre of Foshan City, which commenced operations in 2002 with an area of 48,000 square meters and a floorage of 88,000 square meters. Subsequently, Foshan Nanhai Taoyuan Welfare Centre Co., Ltd. and Foshan Nanhai Taoyuan Rehabilitation Hospital Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nanhai Taoyuan Rehabilitation Hospital") were established to carry on the centre's senior care and medicare services, respectively. The newly constructed project, an apartment for seniors, is situated within the Nanhai Taoyuan Welfare Centre at No.1 Zhuangyuan Road, Luocun Village, Shishan Town, Nanhai District. With a total investment of approximately 198 million yuan, the project adds approximately 700 new beds and is slated for use in October 2024.
Nanhai Taoyuan Rehabilitation Hospital, a second-class rehabilitation hospital, specialises in the rehabilitation and treatment of senile diseases. It is recognised as a designated hospital for basic medical insurance in Foshan and serves as a demonstration organisation for integrating medical care and nursing in Guangdong Province. The hospital comprises various departments, including Rehabilitation, Family Beds, Intensive Care, Geriatrics, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dentistry, and Physical Examination, and boasts nearly 400 inpatient beds. In 2023, Nanhai Taoyuan Rehabilitation Hospital achieved significant milestones: it was designated as a construction unit for a national standardised cardiac rehabilitation centre, established the Nanhai Talent Health Management Centre, and collaborated with Nanhai Hospital Affiliated to Southern Medical University to build a technical cooperation centre. These achievements have underscored the hospital's overall positioning goals and propelled it into a phase of rapid development.
The Nursing Home serves as the main business department of Taoyuan Welfare Centre, boasting a comprehensive capacity of 1,710 senior care beds, of which 430 were supplied in Phase I, 580 in Phase II, and 700 in Phase III.
